The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) includes an Office of Minority Health. This office provides leadership for programs and activities which address the special health needs of racial/ethnic minorities to eliminate disparities, while improving health status.

One of the two major goals of Healthy People 2010 is to eliminate health disparities. This site provides information on the disparities in six areas of health status experienced by racial and ethnic minority populations and what is being done to eliminate these disparities.

The principal federal health care provider and health advocate for Indian and Alaska Natives is the Indian Health Service (IHS). The IHS is the principal provider of health services to approximately 1.4 million American Indians and Alaska Natives who belong to over 545 federally recognized tribes in 34 states.
